Video Transcript:

What is the best role you have played?

I was in the madrigal, which is something we do for the choir and it wasn’t very in depth. I played the jester, but it was a lot of fun just because I got to be an idiot on stage and talk really loud to a bunch of people that I’ll never see again.

What is your biggest fear?

I think– probably drop towers or arrogance. I don’t want to think I’m too good because I don’t like people that are arrogant and that scares me.
Choose three words to describe yourself.

Tall, handsome, and funny—but I’m scared of arrogance.

How long have you been involved in theatre?

I actually started with that madrigal last year, which is kind of ridiculous.
What is the best song you’ve sung in choir?

I really am a huge fan of our opener this year. We’re doing Victorious by Panic! and I really like their music and it’s a lot of fun to dance.
What is your favorite food?

I really like enchiladas and fajitas, but if I had to choose between the two, I think it would be enchiladas.

How have choir and theatre impacted your life?

I think that it just impacts the people I talk to and the people I interact with.

Marvel or DC?

Marvel– so easy. Without a doubt. DC just… yeah, Marvel.

What infinity stone would you choose?

I think I’d have to do the time stone because like—I could eat a bowl of cereal twice or like, maybe more impactful things. I could probably help people, but I think the cereal is probably my main thing

What is your favorite Disney movie?

I think Mulan or Lilo and Stich. I love the music in Mulan. My ring tone is actually “I’ll Make a Man Out of You,” or it used to be—it messed up when I got the new one.

Would you travel to the past or the future?

Can I change the past or am I just there to look around? I think then I‘d go to the past. If I’m just there to look around, the future because I was there in the past, I know what that’s like, but I think I’d like to go back, just to see what differences I could make. I think that would be neat.

What do you want for Christmas this year?

I have pretty much put no thought into this and I should have because it’s already December 4th, but Super Smash Bros Ultimate comes out on the 7th and I am really looking forward to that. I actually brought my switch today, to play Mario Kart after school, so I’m really looking forward to that.

What is your favorite TV show?

I’d say, probably the last TV show that I’ve watched when I had time was The Flash. I thought that was really cool, but I only ended up getting to season 3 or season 4, but I really enjoyed it while I watched it. I just stopped having time.

Which superpower would you choose to have?

Maybe like flying, just cause I’ve never flown before, like even on a plane. So, I think that would be really cool. Plus, I wouldn’t have to worry about getting my license. I have my permit right now, but I could just drop that if I could fly right? I could just fly everywhere, I wouldn’t have to worry about it. It’s probably a lot faster and a lot safer too.

What are your plans for the future?

This is going to sound super lame, but I’m thinking about going into computer science or computer engineering. I really like games and I want to see if maybe I could tie it into that, just cause I was playing Modern Warfare when I was like 10. So, it’s been there for almost half of my life, so I think that would be really cool.

How does it feel to perform on stage?

It’s kind of enlightening if that makes sense. Being on stage is really cool because I’m me all the time, people know me as me, but going up there in front of people you haven’t seen before and being someone else is—you just feel powerful, you feel different.

Do you get nervous when performing?

Right at the beginning, but no more. Like I have a pretty big monologue at the beginning of Hunchback and I’m always nervous when I’m backstage, but once I say that first line I’m like: “I’ve done this a thousand times, I’m not going to mess up because I’ve never messed up before” and it leaves me pretty fast.

What is your least favorite fast food restaurant?

I think Wendy’s. I like Wendy’s food, there’s nothing wrong with Wendy’s food, but I worked there and it was… I don’t work there anymore and it hasn’t been too long if you want to put the pieces together. So, I don’t know if they’re the worst or have the worst food, but I definitely have the most resentment towards them.

3 questions not included in video:

What is your favorite thing about show choir?

I think probably the people… most of the time. When you’re around people that often, it gets hard, but when you take a step back and realize how much they mean, then it’s really rewarding and I’m really happy to have them.

Do you believe in horoscopes?

Oh, no. I actually have an infamous argument with another show choir friend of mine, Mary, but I give her a bunch of crap because she thinks the stars impact how we live our lives.

What is your favorite musical or play?

The Book of Mormon. I think that one is probably my favorite. Super inappropriate, but it’s really satirical and it’s my type of humor.
