What grade are you in?
11th.
How long have you done theatre?
Six years.
What made you interested in theatre?
The community that it builds, being able to create something with other people and share your art.
What do you like about being Thespian President?
It’s really fun to be a leader in my troupe and to set an example for others and really role model what it’s like to be a thespian.
What was the process like getting elected?
The main thing is you only get one chance. You get to make a video and then people watch it. The real way you become president is by talking to people and sharing who you are as a person because how you connect with people is how they remember you.
What do you do for Executive Board?
I am the Vice President of Philanthropy.
How much commitment is Executive Board?
We meet every week; the Student Government meets every other week and those in between weeks are just Executive Board meetings. My specific role, I work with events that don’t just help students but also help the community and help give back. So, like Trunk-or-Treat where we get community support, and I also work with the Riley Dance Marathon board and all the events we have leading up to it.
Do you plan on running for Student Body President next year?
I think I want to see how this next year goes. I think being president would definitely be very fun and interesting, but it really just depends on how well I’ll be able to balance these roles with my other activities, and to see if taking on a bigger role would be feasible for me.
What is your favorite subject?
History.
What is your favorite show/role you have done?
I did Nine to Five this summer and that was a really fun show and a fun process. Then my favorite role I’ve ever played was SpongeBob.
What is your dream theatre role?
My dream role right now is probably either Elder Cunningham in the Book of Mormon or Shakespeare in Something Rotten.
Who is your inspiration?
Definitely my sister, Calleigh Neal.
Where did your choir nickname “Sexyy Red” come from?
Well, you can put two and two together. My hair is red. You’ve never seen me and Sexyy Red in the same room. So, how can we really prove that I’m not Sexyy Red.
