Tell me a little about yourself.
I’m someone who likes to stay busy and creative. My hobbies include crochet and art, and I’m part of a lot of school activities. I’m on the debate team, and I’m actually the captain for World Schools Debate. I’m also president of the crochet club, which I started because I wanted a place for students to relax and express themselves creatively. I like to stay involved and make the most of my time at school.
What brought you to Avon, or have you always lived here?
I’ve always lived in Avon. My family’s been here for a while, and I’ve grown up surrounded by the same community. It’s familiar and comforting, and even though I sometimes think about what it would be like to live somewhere else, I like the sense of belonging that comes with staying here.
What’s a risk you’re glad you took?
I’d say going to a private school for a short time. It was a new experience and very different from what I was used to. It didn’t end up being the best fit, but it helped me realize what kind of environment I want to be in. I learned that trying something new, even if it doesn’t work out, can still teach you a lot about yourself.
