Describe your happiest moment.
Before I moved to Avon, Indiana, I used to live in central Indianapolis. I remember during summer break, my sister and I would go to this water park in Carmel. Afterwards, we’d go get ice cream at Baskin Robbins, and they had seasonal options, where we would get three scoops. I just remember being so happy on days like that.
When were you the proudest of yourself?
At Butler University I gave my first debate speech. Having been able to give that speech without running into any challenges or making any mistakes made me feel so proud of myself that day.
What is a hardship that defined you?
My family and I used to live in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but in 2018 we moved to Illinois in the United States. It was hard having to learn new things, assimilate into a completely different culture, and learn new languages. It was tough, but it made me who I am today.
