I’m sure you’ve seen them everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Maybe you’ve recognized those pink checkered bags? Or maybe you’ve seen the cartoon references or the alien pulling the blank side away to reveal a galaxy? Regardless of which one you’ve seen around, you know Sprayground. Maybe you don’t know that name, fair enough, because who even looks at the tags anymore now, right? Regardless, you can easily seek out these infectiously stylish bags by looking for those giant gaping mouth with pointy teeth.
These bags have been popular ever since sixth grade but in high school, the sightings skyrocket. Every major hallway will have at least three of these backpacks, but the question is why? Why are people always carrying around these shark-faced bags?
Well, one reason — likely the most obvious one — is the hundreds upon hundreds of designs they have. The most classic is the original light and dark brown checker print with the giant red mouth with teeth. That design has taken off significantly into hundreds of colors, characters, concepts, and ideas. I’ve seen My Little Pony bags, Nickelodeon bags, Anime bags, Animal bags, Nature bags, Abstract bags, and so many others.
But of course, there’s more to a bag than just the looks. You have to consider the space, the availability, how productive you can actually be with it. From most of the students I’ve asked, many love the design freedom along with the internal and external pockets the bag houses. One says it helps them manage organization while still being stylish and easy to wear.
These bags are plenty loved and still going strong with 100-150 designs being released every year. Not just backpacks but also purses, luggage, clothes, gaming chairs, ski masks, beanies, shoes, and even golf bags. From the amount of designs to the myriad of products you can get them on, it’s no wonder why Sprayground can be seen everywhere.
