In our fast-paced world, where trends come and go, there is something undeniably special about the timeless allure of throwback shows. These captivating shows from past years have found a place in older generations’ hearts and today’s high schoolers.
What is the best throwback TV show from “Gossip Girl” to “Friends” today? Sophomore Dani Montserrat-Reyes says that the best throwback TV show is “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She also said the best character is Alex, played by Selena Gomez.
“She was so real with everything, and I didn’t like how everyone blamed her for everything.”
When asked if she would like a reboot, she said no. That the show just would not be the same.
If they tried to redo it, they’d probably make it worse, and it wouldn’t be the same. So, honestly, the original ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ is better.”
Mrs. Jackson disagrees. She said “Saved by the Bell” is the best throwback show. She thinks a reboot would be cool but needs some conditions to be met for it to be good.
“I don’t think they should use the same characters. They should use the characters children like from that perspective; it could be cool. ”
Mrs. Jackson said “Home Improvement” was a classic because she watched the show with her father and connected to the characters.
“We watched him, The Toolman Taylor, like nightly because of my dad. I like Toolman Taylor because he was always funny, and everything he tried was unsuccessful.”
