How does Model UN help in your plans after HS?
For college, Model UN obviously looks great on applications, especially if you’re good enough to win awards, because it shows that you’re a well-rounded person that cares about things that happen outside of the US. Past college, it’s honestly just a great thing for me to learn about things I never knew and to expand my view of everything going on in the world.
What is something you would tell anyone who is hoping to join Model UN?
Just do it. It’s a great community. You meet so many people from different schools and even though it can be scary at first, it’s really an amazing opportunity and I’m super grateful that I’ve done it.
What other talents do you have?
I know four instruments. My main instrument is the baritone saxophone which I play with the school band. I play guitar, piano, and ukelele and I also sing. I have a pretty good memory so that’s really useful for school.
