The Career Fair provided a valuable opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to explore potential career paths. There were designated times for students to explore various booths of jobs and industries that the career fare had to offer.
Junior Macy Nugent was one of the many students touring the booths.
“I like walking around and talking to these people. It is cool to go to booths that I can see myself being interested in for my future,” Nugent said.
Nugent wants to go into education; therefore, the Central Indiana First Steps booth was the perfect place to start.
“My favorite booth was the Central Indiana First Steps,” Nugent said. “I want to go into education, so I liked my conversation with them.”
The representatives made each booth interactive and created an engaging environment for the students.
“The people were enthusiastic and nice. They also did a good job of explaining everything to us,” Nugent said.
While the career fair was mandatory for the upperclassmen, students like Nugent valued the experience they got from it.
Nugent said the career fair “opened some new doors and opportunities for the future.”
