On June 19 it was announced that the Avon Community School Corporation (ACSC) had communicated and thus decided on June 17 that they would reopen all Avon schools July 29. While this may not have appeared as news a year ago, with COVID-19 it definitely does now. Times have changed and there are now steps for each Avon family to take and decisions for each of them to make.
You can visit ACSC’s website for more information, read the informative brochures that were recently distributed to the Avon community below, or watch the explanatory video from ACSC Superintendent Dr. Maggie Hoernemann, incoming Superintendent Dr. Scott Wyndham and Hendricks County Health Officer Dr. David Stopperich.
Lastly, families don’t forget to complete the survey linked here to indicate which plan you will choose for your child(ren) for the 2020-2021 school year.
