What is your name and grade level?

Elena Vasilenko-King and I am a senior.

What do you do want to do as club president?  

I want to promote the idea that everyone is welcome, no matter what.

How’d you get into this position as president?  

It was humbly bestowed upon me. But really, it’s more from all the recruiting I did, and my influence.  

What is something you’re looking forward to this year?  

We’re going to be doing a lot of arts and crafts, but I’m very excited for the yummy authentic German food.  

How do you expect this year to go?  

We’re going to have a really great year. I think we’re going to get a ton of members and be bigger than ever.  

What does the typical German Club meeting look like? 

We celebrate German culture, eat a lot of food, and watch a couple of videos, but it’s pretty relaxed.

If you could start beef with another club, who would it be? 

Japanese Club.

What’s some big events you have planned this year? 

Some minor stuff here and there. We have this thing for New Years, it’s fortune telling with melted metal and stuff. You get some metal, melt it, and then let it kind of flow and mold and it tells you how your years going to go.  

How many fingers do all the members in your club have collectively? 

130. 

What about collective hair on their heads? 

A trillion, million.
